Live-in Partner tries to Burn down Her Lover to Death in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: A man was set ablaze by his live-in partner in Gujarat’s Morbi. The victim suffered 70 per cent burn injuries.

The incident occurred on Friday evening and he was admitted to the Wankaner hospital. Later he was shifted to the Rajkot government hospital.

The victim of this violent incident has been identified as Ramesh Ramani. As per his complaint, his live-in partner Gita from Godhra had set him ablaze.

According to the victim, he and Gita were living together for some months. He alleged that some days back Gita had absconded with the gold ornaments in his house. On Friday afternoon, Gita had called Ramesh to a deserted location to settle up the matter.

Ramesh reached the place without suspecting that Gita had dangerous plans. The woman had allegedly poured petrol on him and then torched him.

Interestingly the victim never knew any details about Gita, including her real address. Police have started an investigation to track down the dangerous live-in partner of Ramesh.
