Rishabh Pant Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery In Mumbai; Recovering Well

Mumbai: India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has undergone successful surgery for a ligament tear to his right knee on January 6 in the afternoon by Dr Pardilwala and his team, according to sources. Pant will reportedly be monitored at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai for three to four days.

The batsman had had initial treatment for a ligament injury to his knee before being flown out of Dehradun on January 4. The player is responding well to medications, sources added.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Pant had a miraculous escape when his luxury car crashed into a road divider and caught fire after he dozed off at the wheel on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early hours of December 30. The 25-year-old was on his way to his hometown Roorkee to surprise his mother.
