Man Accused of Urinating on Woman During Flight Trying to Dodge Police

New Delhi: The man who urinated on a woman co-passenger onboard an Air India flight from the US to India on November 26 has been identified as Shankar Mishra. This from Mumbai is frequently changing his location to evade arrest by police.

Meanwhile, teams of Delhi Police are searching for him in Mumbai and Bengaluru. The accused frequently travels to his offices in these two cities. He is the vice president of the India Chapter of an American multinational financial services company, Wells Fargo.

According to police sources, Shankar hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. But he is suspected to be in Delhi, Mumbai, or in Bengaluru.

The accused Shankar, in an inebriated state, had urinated on a senior citizen female co-passenger in business class on an Air India flight from New York to New Delhi.

A cases has been lodged against him under Indian Penal Code sections 294 (obscene act in public place), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 510 (misconduct in public by a drunken person) as well as under Aircraft Rules.
