Man Beats His 12th Wife to Death in Jharkhand

Giridih (Jharkhand): A man allegedly beat his 12th wife to death in the Giridih district of Jharkhand.

The accused was identified as Ramchandra Turi and the deceased was identified as Savitri Devi.

According to reports, Ramchandra and Savitri were drinking alcohol when they got involved in an argument. In a fit of rage, the accused brought a stick and started beating her.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem. The cops also arrested the accused and sent him to police custody for interrogation.

Reportedly, the man was married to eleven women. He left all of them after physically assaulting them.

Further investigation into this connection is underway.
