Man Hacks Wife to Death for Dowry in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A man allegedly hacked his wife to death for dowry and family disputes in the Telkoi area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district. After committing the crime he surrendered before the police.

The victim was identified as Sulochana Behera and the accused as Rathia Sethi, residents of Ragada village under Telkoi police limit.

According to reports, Rathia often used to quarrel with his wife over dowry and other family issues. On the fateful day, the couple engaged in a violent argument and Rathia attacked his wife with an axe killing her on the spot.

After killing his wife, Rathia surrendered before the police and confessed to the crime.

The police have taken the accused in custody and launched a probe. A scientific team was sent to the spot.
