Man Held For Assaulting Woman In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A man was reportedly arrested by the Commissionerate Police for allegedly assaulting a woman in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening.

According to the complaint, the accused has reportedly taken Rs 50,000 from the complainant to help her get a legal heir certificate.

However, the accused failed to do so. Following this, the woman asked him to return the money. But, the accused allegedly misbehaved with her. With no option left, the woman filed a complaint at the Mahila Police Station.

On the basis of FIR, police arrested Nayak from Kedarapalli Slum yesterday.

The cops have registered a case against Nayak under sections 354, 294, 506 and 386 of the IPC.
