Man Killed as Car Falls Into Pattamundai Canal in Cuttack Dist

Cuttack: A man lost his life when his car skidded off the road and fell into the Pattamundai canal near Bheda village under the Mahanga police station limits in Cuttack district on Tuesday.

The deceased identified as Anil Kumar Raut hailed from Arilo village of Sahapur Panchayat.

According to reports, Anil was travelling to Bhubaneswar, when he lost control of his vehicle and it fell into the Pattamundai canal.

Locals working in nearby fields rushed to spot and rescued injured Anil from the drowning vehicle by breaking open its window. He was rushed to the Mahanga Community Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared him dead.
