Man Kills Minor Girl by Slitting Her Throat in Angul Dist

Angul: A man murdered a minor girl by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon at Kueio village under Angul Sadar police station limits in Angul district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Khusi Sahu. The identity of the accused has not been ascertained. The accused managed to escape from the spot after committing the shocking crime. The reason behind the murder is also not ascertained. It is suspected that the murder was the fallout of a one-sided love affair.

According to reports, the accused entered the house of the minor girl at around 10 AM when she was with her mother. He pushed her mother away and slit the girl’s neck with a sharp weapon before escaping from the spot.

The victim was rushed to the Angul District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police have recovered the body and started an investigation.
