Minor Died, Another Critical After Eating Roasted Frog Meat In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A six-year-old girl passed away while her younger sister is critical after eating roasted frog meat at Guruda under Bamebari police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

The deceased was identified as Sumitra and the critical one as Megha, daughters of Muna Munda. Megha has been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.

As per the reports,  the two sisters and their family members had eaten the frog meat on February 9. Following this, the two girls fell ill during the night. Sumitra died the next morning, and Megha was hospitalised.

After receiving information,  police reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and started an investigation. The reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained.
