Minor Girl Raped on Outskirts of Delhi

New Delhi: A 5-year-old girl was kidnapped and then raped in the Bhalswa Diary area of Delhi.

Reportedly, the girl was kidnapped on Wednesday while playing near her house. She was found in a nearby park the next day.

After investigation, it was revealed that a 45-year-old man abducted the minor. A case under section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered.

Three teams were formed to trace the child. Announcements were also made at the mosque and a photo of the child was circulated to all police officers. The police team found the child and she was taken for medical examination as mandated by law.

Medical tests revealed that the minor was sexually assaulted. Following the medical report, Section 376 (rape) of the IPC and 6 Pocso Act were added to the FIR.
