‘My Vote My Valentine Campaign’ on 14th Feb to Promote Elections in Meghalaya

Shillong (Meghalaya):  On the occasion of Valentine’s day on 14 February Commission has planned a special musical campaign named My vote My Valentine in 300 polling stations of the state where turnout was less than the average polling last time. The campaign will be done to promote election as well as celebrate Valentine’s day and spread love all over the state.

Election Commission in Meghalaya is actively using musical bands and musical programs for voter awareness. As valentine’s week is going on and election Commission has planned special musical programs to attract voters.

However, nominations of 375 candidates including 36 women were found valid after scrutiny.  The State will go to polls on the 27th of this month.

In Nagaland, a total of 200 nomination forms have been found to be valid to contest for the upcoming State Assembly Election, scheduled on 27th February.
