Naveen to Inaugurate BJD’s New Party Office ‘Sankha Bhavan’ on Akshaya Tritiya

Bhubaneswar: From the day of Akshaya Tritiya this year, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will start operating from its newly constructed posh party headquarter in Bhubaneswar. This new building named ‘Sankha Bhavan’ will be inaugurated by BJD chief Naveen Patnaik on Sunday. The foundation stone for this building was laid during the Rath Yatra of 2021.

This new party headquarters building of the BJD located in Unit-6 is decorated with stone carvings depicting Odisha’s art, culture, and heritage. This three-storey building has a large basement parking, a large airconditioned conference hall with the capacity to hold 2000 people, an auditorium for 250, and a canteen. It also has a special hall for regular press meets. All these are located on the first floor of the building.

The office bearers of the party will have their chambers on the second floor. There are 30 rooms on this floor for this purpose. The IT Cell of the BJD will also operate from this floor.

The BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik’s chamber will be on the third floor of the newly reconstructed BJD party office building.
