Nikunja Bihari Dhal Appointed as SRC & MD of Disaster Management Authority of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed as the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), and Managing Director (MD), of Odisha State Disaster Management Authority.

He is a 1993-batch Odisha cadre IAS officer, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Odisha, Energy Department, with the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary; Excise Department; Chairman, GRIDCO, and Chairman of Odisha State Beverages Corporation Ltd.

The appointment was announced via a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Government of Odisha, on Monday.

Notably, PK Jena, Special Relief Commissioner and MD of Odisha State Disaster Management Authority will take over as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Odisha on March 1.
