NTPC Campaign to End Menstrual Myths for Better Hygiene in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a step towards inclusiveness in sex education and menstrual hygiene, NTPC Darlipali organized a health awareness program for adolescent girls at Damodar Naik Higher Secondary School, Darlipali on 08th April 2023.

Being a transitional phase, adolescence is a vulnerable group in the context of public health. The session educated the girls on important issues like Menstrual health and hygiene and stigmas related to menstruation.

The session was followed by the distribution of sanitary napkins and hygiene kits to the students in the presence of Shri Ajai Kumar Tandon, CGM (NTPC Darlipali). These programs are pertinent for eliminating menstrual taboos and stigmas and misconceptions regarding adolescent health.

With activities like these, NTPC Darlipali takes a firm step in normalizing dialogues and conversations about menstrual health & hygiene.
