Odisha CM Directs To Rebuild Bahanaga School Under 5T Initiatives

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has recently ordered that the Bahanaga High School along with the Primary and Elementary schools inside its premises will be rebuilt and under the 5T Initiatives.

After being directed by the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena, 5T Secretary VK Pandian, and other concerned officials held a meeting with the Balasore Collector, members of the school managing committee, panchayat representatives, teachers and students via video-conferencing to seek their opinion in this regard.

It is worth mentioning that the body of the deceased was kept in the Bahanga school. Though the school had been cleaned and sanitized, the parents of the students were not willing to allow their children to go to the school.

The train accident involving Coromandel Express, SMVP-Howrah Superfast Express and a goods train at Bahanaga on June 2 has claimed at least 288 lives.
