Rohit Pujari Dropped from Odisha Cabinet

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader from western Odisha, Rohit Pujari lost his ministerial post on Friday. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik recommended Odisha Governor to exclude Pujari from the state cabinet. The food and civil supplies minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak has been given additional charge of the Higher Education department.

Although government and BJD sources have not clarified the reason behind Rohit’s removal from the state cabinet, yet as per reports he was dropped from the ministry because of the alleged poor performance of the Higher Education Department. Recently the CM reviewed the performance of different ministries.

Pujari was included in Odisha cabinet in June 2022. Some political analysts suspect there may be some other political reason behind Pujari’s exclusion.
