Odisha Government to Develop Learning App for Visually Impaired Students

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has decided to develop an app for visually impaired students to teach subjects like mathematics and science.

The app is developed by IIIT Bangalore. The vision-impaired organization will help students in learning mathematics and science in high schools through this app.

The Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department of the Odisha government will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIIT Bangalore and the vision-impaired organization for the development of the app.

After the development of the app, the department will train the visually impaired students and teachers how to use the app, said State Public Enterprises Minister Ashok Chandra Panda.

He added that this app will help the students in pursuing higher education.
