Odisha Govt Hikes Urdu Teachers’ Remuneration to Rs 15000

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced a hike in the monthly remuneration of Urdu teachers in Odisha.

As per a statement of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the government has hiked the monthly remuneration of Urdu teachers posted at Upper Primary, Middle English and High Schools in the state from Rs 7,400 to Rs 15,000.

The Odisha government has appointed Urdu teachers on a contractual basis in those in the state where at least 10 students have opted for Urdu as their first language.

At least 44 Urdu teachers posted at Upper Primary and Middle English schools and 40 Urdu teachers of High schools will get the remuneration hike, said the CMO.
