Odisha Train Tragedy: There’s A Conspiracy Behind The Deadly Mishap In Balasore, Says DRM

Bhubaneswar: Railway DRM has made startling claims of the possibility of a conspiracy behind the deadliest train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district which claimed 275 lives and left over 1,100 passengers injured on June 2.

A preliminary investigation of the mishap revealed that a change in electronic interlocking is responsible for the horrific accident on Friday last.

Meanwhile, speaking to the media, Khurda Road Railway DRM Rinkesh Roy said, “The train accident occurred due to a change in electronic interlocking. But, after talking to the loco pilot and assistant loco pilot of Chennai-bound Coromandel Express, one of the trains involved in the accident, it was revealed that they received a green signal.”

“As a result, the Railways have recommended a CBI probe into the matter,” Roy said, adding, “Strict action will be taken against whoever is found responsible for this mishap”.
