Odisha Vigilance Unearthed Over Rs 3.8 lakh Cash & Other Disproportionate Assets from Khariar BDO

Nuapada: Odisha Vigilance raided the residence of Khariar’s Block Development Officer in connection with the alleged possession of disproportionate assets. The accused was identified as Narayan Sahoo.

The Vigilance sleuths during raids at multiple places in connection with the allegation against Block Development Officer, Khariar, Nuapada district, unearthed over Rs 3.8 lakh cash, plots, jewellery and luxury car.

So far, the following assets were unearthed in name of the corrupt official and his family members.

1. Rs.3.84 Lakh cash.

2. One double-storeyed building at the backside of Vatika Hotel, Balangir town.

3. Land/Plots in and around Balangir; here’re details:

i) 1 plot measuring area Ac 0.096 Dec, Plot No.83, Khata No.236, Mauza-Bolangir, Balangir town.

ii) A piece of land measuring about 2.3 Acres comprising 10 plots vide Plot No.2544, 2547, 2532, 2524, 2689, 2523, 2526, 2522, 2691 and  2702, Khata No.15, Mauza-Kusmel, Balangir.

iii) A piece of land measuring about 6.5 Acres comprising 9 Plots vide Plot No.2543, 2545/3340, 2550, 2546, 2528, 2521, 2502, 2551 and 2520, Khata No.351/336, Mauza-Kusmel, Balangir.

iv) 1 plot measuring area Ac 0.92 Dec, Plot No.2541, 2552 and 2553, Khata No. 323 Mauza-Kusmel, Balangir.

v) 1 plot measuring area Ac 0.19 Dec, Plot No.2552, Khata No.323 Mauza-Kusmel, Balangir.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
