Over 3000 Page Chargesheet in Shraddha Walkar Murder Case May be Filed Today by Delhi Police

New Delhi: Delhi police have prepared an over 3000-page chargesheet in the Shraddha Walkar murder case. According to sources, this chargesheet may be filed before the Saket district court of Delhi on Tuesday.

This chargesheet is likely to contain statements from over 100 witnesses. It will also include forensic and electronic evidence, sources said. There are no direct eyewitnesses of this gruesome murder.

Shraddha Walkar was allegedly murdered by her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala. After killing the woman, he chopped her body into several pieces. These body pieces were stored by him in a refrigerator and were later disposed of in different locations in and around Delhi. The body parts were disposed of by the killer over a long period of three months.

Meanwhile, the accused Aaftab Poonawala is in judicial custody. On January 10, the court extended his judicial custody by 14 days. In jail, Poonawala requested for law books to study. The court also directed the prison authorities to provide warm clothes to this murder accused.
