Pakistan Univ Bans Females & Males Gathering Together on Campus

Gomal University in Pakistan has ordered a complete ban on mixed gatherings of males and females on its campus. According to Pakistan media, this is an effort to avoid any “untoward incident” on the university campus. Gomal University is located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

According to a notification issued by the varsity, “It is notified for all the concerned that gathering/coupling (Male & Female) is totally banned in any ground, roads beyond the premises of department.”

According to Geo News, this university also directed “female students” to limit themselves to their classrooms and the department’s common room. “Strict action would be taken against those students, violating the rules,” cautioned the university.

According to the Gomal University administration, this recent diktat will provide a better and safer environment for female students.

This university had imposed a Rs 5,000 fine on two students of its Institute of Computing and Information Technology (ICIT) Department for listening to music during class in 2022, Geo News reported.
