Pak’s Fatima Bhutto Visits Karachi Shiva Temple After Nikah

Fatima Bhutto, who is Pakistan’s late PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s granddaughter, preferred to visit a Hindu temple after her nikah to offer prayers along with her husband. She is the niece of former Pak PM Benazir Bhutto. She is a well-known author and activist in Pakistan.

The nikah ceremony of 40-year-old Fatima took place at her grandfather’s library here on Friday. She got married to an American citizen named Graham Gibran.

After the ritualistic nikah ceremony, she visited the ancient Mahadev Temple in Karachi. It was her homage to Hindu Sindhis, who laid the roots of Karachi in ancient times.

During her visit to the Hindu temple, Fatima was accompanied by her husband, her brother Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior and several Hindu leaders. Fatima, a Muslim and her husband, a Christian, poured milk over the deity as per rituals.
