Canada Puts Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Mastermind Goldy Brar On Most Wanted List

New Delhi: The Canadian government has put Satinderjit Singh Brar alias Goldy Brar on the list of the top 25 most wanted persons.

On the list released by the Canadian government as part of its BOLO (Be on the Lookout) programme, Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, is listed as number 15.

“INTERPOL-Ottawa’s Fugitive Apprehension Support Team (FAST) has added fugitive Satinderjit Singh ‘Goldy’ Brar as the latest addition to the Top 25 list,” according to a statement from the Canadian High Commission in Delhi.

In addition, the government has offered a reward of Rs 1.5 crore for information that results in his arrest.

Max Langlois, the BOLO programme director, released images of all 25 suspects and promised rewards of between 50,000 and 250,000 dollars, or around Rs 1.5 crore, for anyone who helps bring them to justice.

“The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is looking into the claims made in India against Brar. The high commission noted that the crimes committed in India were of a highly severe nature and merited the attention of Canadian police.

“Brar is thought to be in Canada and poses a threat to the general public’s safety. He is currently the subject of an investigation but has not yet been charged in Canada with any crimes,” it continued.

It is pertinent to mention that, Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi singer and Congress politician Sidhu Moose Wala.
