Plus II Girl Student Found Hanging in Hostel Room in Puri

Puri: The body of a Plus II first-year girl student was found hanging in a private hostel at Guhalpada under Nimapara police limits in Puri district.

Girls residing in the same hostel first saw the deceased hanging inside the room and informed the matter to the hostel authorities.

After being informed, police reached the hostel, broke open the door, recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.

The hostel authorities said that the girl committed suicide, but the victim’s family members alleged that she was murdered.

Further probe is underway.
