PM Modi Flags Off Two New Vande Bharat Trains in Mumbai

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off two Vande Bharat trains in Mumbai on Friday. These trains will connect Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Solapur and Sainagar Shirdi. They would be the first intra-state and country’s 9th and 10th Vande Bharat trains. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the extended version of the Santacruz-Chembur link road and Kurar underpass.

Prime Minister said the Vande Bharat train is a representation of India’s speed and scale. Today, he said, 108 districts of 17 States are connected by Vande Bharat train. Mr Modi noted, every penny spent on infrastructure creates new jobs in the country.

In his speech, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for allocating a record 13,500 crore rupees for railway projects of Maharashtra and 2 thousand crores for the railway projects of Mumbai.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured the Prime Minister that Maharashtra will contribute 1 trillion dollars in making India a 5 trillion dollar economy.
