Police Home Guard Dies Run Over by Speeding Van During Vehicle Check in Kendrapada

Kendrapada: A Home Guard died when a speeding pickup van ran over him near Balabhadrapur in Odisha’s Kendrapara district.

The incident took place during vehicle checking by the RTO enforcement squad.

According to sources, the speeding van hit the home guard while he tried to stop the heavy vehicle during checking. The van sped away from the spot immediately. A police team chased the vehicle to nab the driver.

The locals gathered at the place of the accident and demanded proper compensation for the victim.

After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and tried to manage the irate mob.
