Public Toilets are Now Free to Use for Odisha Urbanites

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government waived the user fee for use of public and community toilets in urban areas. Now all can use the public and community toilets free of cost. The state government has advised citizens to complain about the collection of user fees for use of public toilets in the state. ‘Mo Sahar Sarkar’ Helpline number (0674 2391395) can be contacted to lodge a complaint regarding the collection of user fees at public toilets.

The Housing & Urban Development Department of the Odisha Government has written a letter to all Municipal Corporations, Municipalities, and NACs regarding the waiver of user fees towards the use of public toilets. Added to it all urban bodies were advised to adopt IEC activities to spread the message – “No User Fee Required”.

“Make sure to always use toilets and help in keeping the environment clean in your cities,” the Department said in a message to the people.
