Revenue Inspector Found Dead At Tehsil Office In Cuttack

Cuttack: The body of a Revenue Inspector (RI) was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at Nischintakoili Tehsil Office in Cuttack district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sanjay Das. He was working in the Tarat section of the Nischintakoili block.

According to reports, the matter came to the fore after some employees of the office spotted the body hanging from a ceiling fan on the upper floor of the building and informed the police about the same.

On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Sanjay’s daughter alleged that he had been subjected to harassment by his superiors. She said her father’s health had deteriorated due to stress at work and he was unwillingly transferred. She claimed that the transfer and workplace harassment led his father to the extreme step.
