Rozgar Mela 2023: PM Modi Distributes 71K Appointment Letters To New Recruits

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday distributed 71,000 appointment letters to new recruits.

Reportedly, the recruits will join various departments of the Union government as well as state governments and Union Territories (UTs) supporting the Rozgar Mela initiative of the Centre.

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join various positions/posts like Gramin Dak Sevaks, Inspector of Posts, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Junior clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, Assistant Section Officer, Lower Division Clerk, Sub Divisional Officer, Tax Assistants, Principal, Trained Graduate Teacher, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Professor, among others.

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development. The newly inducted appointees will also get an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, which is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various Government departments.

In Uttar Pradesh, the Rozgar Mela will be held at 5 locations, Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Moradabad and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. Many Union Ministers will grace the function being organised at these places. While Union Minister Smriti Irani will take part in the function in Lucknow, Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey will attend the Rozgar Mela in Varanasi. Union Minister BL Verma will grace the function at Moradabad, Union Minister Sanjeev Baliyan will attend Rozgar Mela being organised at Agra and Union Minister Ajay Kumar will be at Gorakhpur.
