Security Arrangements for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as per Laid Down Guidelines: CRPF

New Delhi: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today clarified that security arrangements were fully made for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as per laid down guidelines.

Replying to a letter by Congress claiming a security breach of  Mr Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the CRPF said, he himself broke security protocol on several occasions during the Delhi leg of the Yatra.

The CRPF, which is managing the security of Mr Gandhi, also said during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi, all security guidelines were strictly followed and Delhi Police had made sufficient deployment.

Underlining that security arrangements made for the protectee work fine when the protectee himself adheres to the guidelines,  it added there have been 113 violations have been observed and duly communicated to Mr Gandhi since 2020.

Earlier, Congress had written to Home Minister Amit Shah alleging that Delhi Police failed to control the crowd in the national capital during the Yatra and several instances of breaches in the security were observed.
