Suresh Pujari Raises Archana Nag Case In LS, Demands CBI Probe

New Delhi: Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari on Thursday raised the issue of lady blackmailer and extortionist Archana Nag case in Lok Sabha seeking the CBI probe into the matter.

Pujari highlighted the “worsening” law and order situation in Odisha, citing Archana Nag’s extorsion and blackmail case.

“Archana Nag case, which is being probed by Enforcement Directorate till now, needs a CBI probe. In a bid to conduct a free and fair probe into the matter, this case needs the Central Investigating agency’s intervention. Odisha police is likely not working properly in this regard,” Pujari said.

ED on Thursday sought digital info on Archana Nag from the Forensic lab after police seized crucial digital info from her residence and sent them for lab examination.

The ED had taken Nag on a 7-day remand which ended today following which she was produced before the court.

To dig deeper into the financial transactions of the couple, the agency has sought an extension of the remand.

On the other hand, Chand has moved to the Orissa High Court seeking bail after his petition was rejected by the District and Sessions Court.
