Swedish Citizen Molests Crew Member on Bangkok-Mumbai IndiGo Flight; Arrested

Mumbai: A Swedish national was arrested on charges of molesting a crew member on an IndiGo 6E-1052 Bangkok-Mumbai flight. According to police sources, the man arrested on Thursday was identified as Klas Erik Harald Jonasm (62).

IndiGo authorities had filed a complaint against the man alleging that he touched a crew member inappropriately in a drunken state. Klas Erik was handed over to the police by the airline staff when the flight landed in Mumbai.

IndiGo confirmed the incident and said necessary protocols were followed. Klas Erik is the eighth unruly airline passenger arrested in India in the past three months.

On March 23, two men were arrested for drinking alcohol, hurling abuse at co-passengers and crew on board a Dubai-Mumbai IndiGo flight. They were granted bail later.
