Tiger & leopard Skin Seized in Boudh; One Arrested

Boudh: Skins of a tiger and a leopard were seized during a joint raid by the STF and forest officials in Boudh district on Tuesday.

Acting on intelligence reports regarding the illegal activities of some miscreants involved in trading wildlife products, this joint raid was conducted near Saluki Bridge under Boudh Town Police Station.

A wildlife criminal identified as Himalaya Dash from Olanda village under Badagoan police limits of Boudh district was nabbed during the raid.

Two skins of wild animals, one of a tiger and another of a leopard were seized from his possession. Other incriminating materials were also recovered from him.

The arrested person could not provide any logical reason for possession of the skins of the tiger and leopard. Both skins will be sent to WII, Dehradun for biological examination. An investigation is on to track down the network of this animal skin trading racket.
