Tihar Jail SP Served Show Cause Notice for Transferring 2 Inmates to Delhi Minister’s Cell

New Delhi: The Tihar Jail administration served a show cause notice to the superintendent of jail number 7 for transferring two inmates to former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain’s cell.

Jain had submitted an application to the Tihar jail administration in which he had requested that two inmates should be lodged with him as he was feeling depressed and lonely.

It is alleged that the concerned SP transferred two inmates to Satyendra Jain’s cell without informing or discussing the matter with the Tihar jail administration. When informed about it, the jail administration served a show cause notice to the concerned jail official. Both inmates were transferred back to their previous cells.

Jain was arrested on May 31, 2022, by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case.
