Twitter to Offer ‘Amnesty’ to Suspended Accounts: Elon Musk
New York: Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, announced that the microblogging site will offer a general amnesty to suspended accounts from next week.
He announced this following a poll where 72.4 percent of users who participated voted in favor of providing amnesty.
Musk held a poll on Twitter asking users whether the platform should offer a general amnesty to suspended accounts. He tweeted, “Should Twitter offer a general amnesty to suspended accounts, provided that they have not broken the law or engaged in egregious spam?”

Among the 3,162,112 responses, 72.4 percent voted in favor and 27.6 percent disagreed.
Previously, Elon Musk reinstated some previously suspended accounts, including former US President Donald Trump, the satirical website Babylon Bee and comedian Kathy Griffin.
