Two Children Among 3 Killed, Five Injured In Building Collapses In Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: two children among three were killed while five others sustained grevious injuries after a 3-storey building collapsed in Andhra Pradesh’s Vishakhapatnam during the wee hours of Thursday.

Two deceased have been identified as Anjali (15) and Chotu (30), a noodles vendor, while the identity of the third person is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, the incident took place around at 2 am when an old building situated in Ramajogi Peta crumbled down, killing three people. Six others were severely injured and shifted to the hospital for treatment.

CH Srikanth, CoP, Vizag, said, prima-facie showed that the neighbour had dug up the adjacent land for foundation, due to which this house’s foundation got weak. Even yesterday, he was getting a borewell dug in the adjacent land.
