Two Youths Killed in Bike-Truck Accident in Dhenkanal Dist

Dhenkanal: Two youths died on the spot when the bike on which they were travelling was hit by a speeding truck at Kantabania under the Odapada block in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased were identified as Asish Ranjan Samal (24) of Nuahata village and Chittaranjan Sahu (25) of Chauridiha village under the Banarpal police station limits in Angul district.

According to a police source, the duo was travelling to Nuahata when a truck coming from the opposite side hit them. Both died on the spot.  The driver of the accident-causing truck fled from the spot.

Personnel of the Kantabania police station reached the spot and seized the bodies for post-mortem. Police have registered a case in this connection and launched a manhunt to nab the accident-causing truck driver.
