UP CM Forms 3 Member Committee to Probe Incident of Building Collapse in Lucknow

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has formed a three-member committee to probe the incident of building collapse in Wazir Hasan area of the state capital yesterday.

The three-member committee includes the commissioner of Lucknow Roshan Jacob, joint police commissioner Piyush Mordiya and the chief engineer of PWD. The committee will submit its report in one week.

Meanwhile, Lucknow commissioner Roshan Jacob has instructed the Lucknow development authority to file an FIR against the builders who were involved in the construction of that building which collapse yesterday evening. Police have taken one person into custody in this case.

Few people are still feared trapped in the debris of the building which collapsed yesterday and the rescue operation is going on.

Several people got injured in the incident and around a dozen were rescued but No death has been confirmed by authorities yet.

Teams of NDRF and SDRF along with local administrations are conducting the rescue operation. DGP DS Chauhan said that It will take around 3 to 4 hours more to complete the rescue operation.
