Former Odisha CM Giridhar Gamang & Son Quit BJP

Bhubaneswar: Former Chief Minister of Odisha Giridhar Gamang and his son Shishir Gamang quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday. At a news conference in Bhubaneswar, the father-and-son duo announced their registration from the party.

Gamang, a seasoned politician and nine-term Member of Parliament (MP) from Koraput, informed BJP national president JP Nadda about his resignation through a letter on Wednesday. In 2015, he had resigned from the Congress party and joined the BJP.
