BJP Terms Congress’ Sankalp Satyagraha As Unconstitutional

New Delhi: Terming Congress’ Sankalp Satyagraha as ‘unconstitutional’, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday slammed the grand old party.

The saffron party alleged that it is an agitation against the country’s Constitution and the court’s verdict, which has convicted Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against the “entire backward community” of the nation.

Addressing a press conference, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that Congress’ agitation is an “insult” to Mahatma Gandhi.

“While the Father of the Nation had organised Satyagraha for social causes, the Congress was holding “so-called Satyagraha” for personal reasons,” Trivedi saod.

“The Congress agitation is a “brazen” display of its arrogance after Rahul Gandhi’s conviction in a defamation case in Gujarat and his “automatic” disqualification as Lok Sabha MP as a result of the court’s verdict,” he charged.
