“Want a Baby, Release My Husband from jail”, Gwalior Woman’s Plea for Hubby’s Parole

New Delhi: A woman of Gwalior woman has urged for the release of her husband from jail on parole as she wants to get pregnant and have a baby of her own.

This woman’s husband Dara Singh Jatav is serving a life sentence at Gwalior Central Jail. He was arrested in a murder case soon after his marriage and could not even enjoy the wedding festivities. In her application, the woman mentioned that as she wants a kid, her husband should be allowed to get out of jail on parole.

According to the prisoner’s father, Kareem Singh Jatav, stated he and his ailing wife wanted a grandson, for which they want their son out of jail for some days.

The woman and her in-laws have sent their application to Shivpuri SP for consideration. As per the jail rules in Madhya Pradesh, any prisoner serving a life-term is entitled to parole upon completion of two years if his behaviour with inmates and jail authorities is reported ‘good’. The final decision on grant of parole lays with the district collector.
