WB May Stop Paying GST, Threatens Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee threatend that her state may stop paying GST if the Centre does not clear state’s dues.

Mamata’s outburst adds to her continuing tirade against the BJP led Central government. She said this during a public meeting in the tribal-dominated Jhargram district of West Bengal. She said, the Centre must clear West Bengal’s dues or step down from power.

The West Bengal CM alleged that BJP led Union government was not releasing MGNREGA funds for Bengal. She called upon the tribals to agitate against it. “Do we have to beg before the Centre to get our financial dues cleared? The BJP government has to step down from power if it does not clear our dues,” Mamata said.
