Woman Murdered By Neighbours During Quarrel Over Washing Machine

Amaravati: Quarrel over a washing machine took the life of a woman in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadiri town in Sri Sathya Sai district. On Tuesday a woman was attacked by two men of her neighbourhood, who hit her with a rock because of a fight over a washing machine.

The injured woman died of her injuries. The two assailants were taken into custody by police.

The deceased was identified as Padmavathi Devi, an inhabitant of Mashanampeta area of Kadiri town.  On Tuesday, she had a heated argument with her neighbours Vemanna Naik and Prakash Naik regarding a washing machine.

The enraged neighbours had hit the woman with a stone. She became unconscious from the blow to her head. She died while she was being transported to Bengaluru for treatment.

Police are investigating the incident and a murder case has been filed against the two neighbours of the deceased.
