Youth Seriously Injured in Wild Bear Attack in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A wild bear attacked and seriously injured a youth in the Barsuan forest range under the Koira police station in Sundargarh district on Tuesday.

The injured youth, identified as Padu from Tinta village, was returning home after collecting firewood in the forest when he faced the bear attack.

Padu was seriously injured and became unconscious.

A cowherd found him and informed the villagers. Padu was rushed to the Koira Community Health Centre. Later he was transported to the Rourkela government hospital as his condition was critical.
