Youth’s Body Found Hanging from Raja Swing in Banki, Family Alleges Murder

Cuttack: The body of a youth was found hanging from a swing set up for Raja festivities at Brahmei Devi temple in the Banki area of Cuttack district on Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Anil Behere of Sahadapada village.

On the day of Raja Sankranti, the deceased had gone to Brahmei Devi temple for Raja celebrations. Later, he was found hanging from the swing put up at the spot.

Family members of the deceased youth alleged that he had been murdered. They claimed that Anil had an altercation with some persons at the temple. They suspected that these persons may have killed him and hung his body to the Raja swing.

Banki police seized the body and sent it for autopsy. An investigation has been initiated.
