1 Dead & 15 Severely Injured In Sambalpur Bus Accident

Sambalpur: A fatal road accident near Khinda chowk within the Thelkoloi police limits in Sambalpur district resulted in one death and more than 15 critical injuries in the early hours of Friday.

The identity of the deceased is not ascertained yet.

According to reports, tragedy struck a passenger bus when a speeding truck rammed into it from behind. The ill-fated bus was travelling from Jharsuguda to Sambalpur. One passenger died on the spot while several others suffered severe injuries.

Police rushed to the spot of the accident to start rescue operations. All the injured passengers were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, Jharsuguda.
