Man Hangs Himself During Facebook Live Stream in Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident in the Jharsuguda district of Odisha, a 24-year-old man named Atal Singh took his own life by hanging himself during a Facebook Live video. Singh, who worked as a driver for a private company, resided in Station Pada under Badamal police limits.

On the night of Friday, Singh reportedly created a WhatsApp group and shared the link to the Facebook Live video, urging the group members to watch the stream. Shortly after, he hanged himself from a ceiling fan in his room, resulting in his death.

The local police retrieved Singh’s body and conducted a post-mortem examination before handing it over to his grieving family members.

At this time, the motive behind Singh’s tragic decision remains unknown and is yet to be determined.
