Bombs Recovered From Ganja-Laden Vehicle In Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Police recovered four bombs from a ganja-laden vehicle on Sambalpur–Jharsuguda road on Monday. However, the miscreants managed to escape from the spot.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Thelkoloi Police Station limits in the border area of Sambalpur and Jharsuguda was patrolling the area when they saw some people changing a deflated tyre of a vehicle near Khinda.

Seeing the police team the driver of the vehicle and others fled the spot. This created suspicion and the cops searched the vehicle.

During the search, police found a huge cache of ganja in the vehicle. Later, on further search, three to four bombs were found hidden in the contraband.

Till reports last came in, search and investigation were underway.
