Cold Wave Grips Odisha As Temperature Plummets

Bhubaneswar: Cold wave conditions prevailed at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, and Sundergarh districts of interior Odisha during the last 24 hours.

According to the IMD, minimum temperatures observed appreciable fall at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, an appreciable rise at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha and no large change elsewhere over the rest of Odisha.

These were markedly below normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably below normal at one or two places over the districts of Odisha, below normal at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and normal at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, the IMD bulletin stated.

“No large change in Minimum temperature (Night Temperature) is expected during the next 24 hours over the districts of Odisha and these will gradually rise by 2 to 3 degrees thereafter at a few places across the State. Dry weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha and Cold wave condition is likely to prevail at one or two places over Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, and Kandhamal districts, the IMD informed.
